Meet Dr. Maria

Dr. Maria Salas, D.C. is one of Redding, California’s leading, female chiropractors. She is from San Jose, California and the South Bay Area. Dr. Maria attended Del Mar High School and was on the Swim team and the Track & Field Team. Dr. Maria loved the campus at West Valley College in Saratoga, California and decided to attend for a 2 year Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and was on the Track & Field team as a Hammer Thrower for Post 831. After a short stint at SJSU, Dr. Maria transferred to Chico State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Women’s Studies. Dr. Maria first had her sites on being a Sports Agent for Female Professional Athletes and was able to create her own curriculum around this premise. Because of this, Dr. Maria was able to get experience in Marketing, Women’s Issues, and Communication.

Before Dr. Maria decided to become a chiropractor she worked for New West Chiropractic with Dr. Tim O’Shea to help confirm her new interest. This was an amazing experience for her as Dr. Tim O’Shea has spent a lot of his chiropractic career as a researcher, teacher, and author.

Dr. Maria received her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California and was very happy about the experiences she had, thankful for the Professors & Clinicians guidance, and now feels like she has a very well-rounded education.
